Hong Kong’s AAT cargo throughput falls 16pc to 50,781 tonnes in January

Asia Airfreight Terminal Co Ltd (AAT) says its throughput in January amounted to 50,781 tonnes, representing a decline of 16 per cent compared with the same period last year.

January’s export cargo amounted to 33,145 tonnes, down 21 per cent year on year. Import cargo volume for January was 17,112 tonnes, down five per cent. Transhipment cargo volume at 523 tonnes fell by 20 per cent, the company announced in a statement, without elaborating.
