Frankfurt airport throughput falls 16.8pc in Jan due to weak Asian imports

Lufthansa Cargo volumes decline 11.4pc in January to 122,000 tons

LUFTHANSA Cargo’s volume dropped 11.4 per cent to 122,000 tons in January shrinking revenue 12.9 per cent, Poor performance was attributed to economic slump, seasonal decline from the Chinese New Year and the ongoing night-flight ban at its Frankfurt hub. Lufthansa Cargo offers weekly Frankfurt-Detroit with New York stop

Lufthansa Cargo has launched weekly service from its home base at to the US automotive metropolis of Detroit, using an MD-11 aircraft from January 23.
